Turkesterone is a plant-based steroid extracted from the Ajuga turkestanica plant.  It stimulates muscle growth and repair in a completely different way to anabolic steroids. 

While anabolics enhance levels of androgenic hormones in the bloodstream (such as Testosterone), Turkesterone stimulates the Estrogen-Beta receptor. This doesn't give the typical Estrogenic symptoms of puffiness and gynecomastia, as they are governed by interactions with the Estrogen-Alpha receptor.
